Daisy Mallett is an independent arbitrator and legal adviser with over twenty years of experience in international arbitration. She was recognised as “Arbitrator of the Year” in 2025 by the Australian Disputes Centre and honoured as a Thought Leader in Arbitration 2026 by Lexology Index.
Daisy has received numerous appointments from leading arbitral institutions, including the International Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, Singapore International Arbitration Centre, and the Australian Centre for Commercial Arbitration (ACICA). Her expertise encompasses roles as sole arbitrator and chairperson of tribunals, including expedited and emergency arbitrations. Peer and client feedback reported by Lexology highlights her as “sharp, measured, and proactive” and praises her as “an incredible arbitrator.”
Previously, Daisy was a partner at Mallesons, where she led the international arbitration practice. In this role, she acted as counsel in high-stakes commercial and investor-state arbitrations, advising multinational companies and governments on complex risks and disputes.
Daisy is actively engaged in professional committees related to international arbitration. She currently serves as the Chair of the Sustainability Taskforce of ACICA and is a member of the Arbitration Steering Committee of International Chamber of Commerce Australia. Her past roles include serving on the Board of Directors of ACICA, Chair of the NSW Training Committee of ACICA, and membership in the Law Council of Australia’s Transnational Litigation Committee and the New South Wales Law Society’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee.
